הצלמת הגרמניה אינס אופיפנטי החליטה לצלם בעלים של כלבים כשהם מחקים את הבעות הפנים של הכלבים שלהם. לפני 3 שנים היא אימצה גורה ומהר מאוד היא שמה לב ליכולת המדהימה שלה להביע את עצמה דרך הבעות הפנים – ממש כמו בנאדם. ואז היא חשבה על הדרך ההפוכה – כמה בנאדם יכול לחקות הבעת פנים של כלב? מכאן הגיע הרעיון לתמונות המקסימות האלה.
